* In order to make your time in flea market useful, what you need to do is to plan for that day. Flea markets are usually outdoors so it’s best to wear hat and sunscreen. * Don’t forget about your feet… yes your feet… be sure to wear nice walking shoes so your feet don’t get too tired early and start barking at you! This will allow you to walk the furthest carry your heaviest loads when you are fresh; and as you begin to tire, you will be closer to your car. Remember, many people tend to begin the day at the entrance, so when you begin on the back rows, you’ll see immense items before others see it.
* Many flea markets open during weekends, however some do actually open also on weekdays. During the week there will probably be fewer people as with the vendors. But don’t completely rule out the weekday visits. Ultimately, it is up to you to know when is the best time to go to flea market.
* Don’t sleep in… get out and get to the flea market the very first thing during morning. This is very advantageous because you’ll be the first one to see the items before the big crowd begins to roll in. This is especially true if you have something specific you are trying to find. The slight downside or challenge to being the early bird shopper is it can be just a bit tougher to negotiate with the prices with the seller when you are some of the first shoppers in the morning.
* During the last part if the day many vendors are more likely to lower the prices of their remaining products as they also don’t want to pack up more stuff anymore. If you have something to buy and you can still wait until this time, then you can, many times, catch the best price. But, remember… by going late, you run the chance that what you’re looking for may have already been bought up.
* To make your time looking around the flea markets or efficient, it is a good idea to jot down the location of a particular vendor; especially when he/she has similar items from other vendor but seems of offer a better price. This little tip can help you to recall where the location of a that particular vendor that you like.
