Ten Tips For Shopping

Women are generally crazy about shopping. They love the shopping season and take utmost care to meet the requirements of a perfect shopping session. They go bonkers when they set out to shop at the favorite mall or market. But there are a few things which need attention to make the whole shopping a fun-packed session. Given below are a few ace tips that come very handy during the market purchase. These might help to make it a less stressful activity and a more pleasant experience.

Arriving during the early hours in the market ensures free and choice parking area. Parking at a right and choicest place makes sure the complete journey a more joyful and agreeable one.

It is best to shop when the market has weekend sales. Thursday and Friday’s are the best days when the markets have a start on the weekend sales. Moreover you can save yourself from the market blitz during weekends especially Saturday’s.

A small make up kit comes always handy during anytime of the day as the trial of various apparels and the rush and hush is sure to demand an instant make over. Take along a small comb, a lipstick or lip gloss and few tissue papers.

There are coupons provided in most purchases with various offers and discounts. Keeping them all in a single compartment of the hand bag makes it easy at any time to make use of the discounts and exchange offers.

If you are a regular customer to any of the famous snack corners of the mall where you definitely pause every time you shop, you deserve a reward in return and don’t hesitate to ask for it. They will provide extra one or two dishes with pleasure to you and you will feel lucky.

The footwear during shopping session must be comfy and light. As you need to walk along in and out of malls easily tearing footwear often spoils the journey. So stick to easy slip-ons during the shopping.

Receipts are a major tool to ensure the item is exchanged or considered pricing in case you find it defective later or want to claim for a reason whatsoever. Make sure to demand a receipt every time you make a purchase and store it carefully.

You must always be wise enough and know when to buy what. If the product is really eye catching make sure it is not out dated and ask for few samples and colors available. It is important to make sure the product is not too much in demand. This way your purchase can become unique.

Establish friendship and not authority with the sales person. In case a product is simply your best choice but a bit extravagant, tell the sales persons to let you know when it goes on a sale. This way you can cut down on costly items.

The customer care services or customer support corners offer great help in case you need any guidance on the location of ATM or any other purchase related queries. It is smarter to make the best out of these services.

Great Tips on Shopping at Flea Markets

Many people love to spend their time to find various items on flea markets. It’s a great atmosphere where various vendors place their products about in order for the throngs of people to easily notice the available latest and used products for sale.

You’ll never know what you’ll see on this market because there are really many products to choose from as well as clothing and homemade crafts.

* In order to make your time in flea market useful, what you need to do is to plan for that day. Flea markets are usually outdoors so it’s best to wear hat and sunscreen. Some are indoors so it’s a good idea to know in advance. You would be wise to bring a cart or bag also so you don’t have to worry about carrying heavy items all the time.

* Don’t forget about your feet… yes your feet… be sure to wear nice walking shoes so your feet don’t get too tired early and start barking at you! A great strategy used by the more experienced is to walk back to the furthest part of vendors first, and then work your way through going back to where you came in. This will allow you to walk the furthest carry your heaviest loads when you are fresh; and as you begin to tire, you will be closer to your car. Remember, many people tend to begin the day at the entrance, so when you begin on the back rows, you’ll see immense items before others see it.

* Many flea markets open during weekends, however some do actually open also on weekdays. During the week there will probably be fewer people as with the vendors. But don’t completely rule out the weekday visits. Ultimately, it is up to you to know when is the best time to go to flea market.

* Don’t sleep in… get out and get to the flea market the very first thing during morning. This is very advantageous because you’ll be the first one to see the items before the big crowd begins to roll in. This is especially true if you have something specific you are trying to find. The slight downside or challenge to being the early bird shopper is it can be just a bit tougher to negotiate with the prices with the seller when you are some of the first shoppers in the morning.

* During the last part if the day many vendors are more likely to lower the prices of their remaining products as they also don’t want to pack up more stuff anymore. If you have something to buy and you can still wait until this time, then you can, many times, catch the best price. But, remember… by going late, you run the chance that what you’re looking for may have already been bought up.

* To make your time looking around the flea markets or efficient, it is a good idea to jot down the location of a particular vendor; especially when he/she has similar items from other vendor but seems of offer a better price. This little tip can help you to recall where the location of a that particular vendor that you like.

These a just a few quick tips that will help you have a great time at flea markets and hopefully find your next out of this world deal!

Double Your Shopping, Double Your Savings

The Pacific’s Shopping Paradise – Honolulu

Guess what Hawaii’s #1 activity is. It’s not surfing, night clubbing or visiting world class attractions, although these are all favorites – it’s shopping! More tourism dollars are spent on shopping than any other activity in Hawaii. As a self-confessed, shopaholic with Australia’s big city stores just a short drive from home, I can’t wait for my annual trips to Honolulu where I can satisfy all of my shopping cravings.

If you too love to shop, you are going to be in heaven in Honolulu! Hawaii’s largest city and home to Waikiki, offers a vast sea of stores, including the world’s very largest open-air shopping center.

Here are some of my Honolulu shopping tips…

Sure, Hawaii has lots of beautiful sights to see around the island, but this is where those serious about shopping stay. Even locals from neighboring Hawaiian Islands fly over to Oahu for shopping weekends in Honolulu. This way can get to the best shopping destinations on foot and on the Waikiki Trolley. Learn how to use the Waikiki Trolley and other Honolulu transportation. Read my article: Getting Around Honolulu. For duty free shopping in Waikiki, check out DFS Galleria near the Royal Hawaiian hotel. This luxury retailer caters to travelers and has one of the largest duty-free shops in all of Hawaii. The Galleria now includes nine new luxury boutiques on Waikiki’s Fashion Mile (Luxury Row). For the largest variety of quality items in one location, visit the world’s largest outdoor shopping center: Ala Moana Mall.

The mall has more than 290 shops and eateries and is located across the street from family-friendly, Ala Moana Beach Park. You’ll find everything here from fine jewelry and haute couture to surfwear and kids clothes. For the most Hawaiian themed clothing and souvenir store, head to Hilo Hatties. This locally owned store, has some very good deals, rack after rack of aloha wear for men and women, gift and souvenir items and during the holiday season, you can find beautiful Hawaiian Christmas items and cards (tip – a few days before Christmas, they knock off as much as 75%). Honolulu locations: Hilo Hattie’s flagship store is at 700 North Nimitz Highway, and they have a store at the Ala Moana Mall. Take their free shuttle (detailed at their site) to either location, or take the Waikiki Trolley to their Ala Moana location. For super discounts on designer clothes, try Ross’ Dress for Less. You’ll pay 20-60% less on designer and brand name clothing and other items (like jewelry and housewares) than you typically pay at department and specialty stores. This is a national chain, but they carry many Hawaiian style clothes too. The most conveniently located Ross’ on the island (there are six total) is at Ward Centers in Honolulu.

Romantic Love is Best For Seniors

Ever stroll the shopping mall and notice the older couples who appear a bit younger? You know, the ones with smiles on their faces when talking to each other and maybe even holding hands. If so, these happy couples likely share a romantic love that seems to bond more intensely and has a much longer shelf life than the more frantic and obsessive passionate variety.

“Many believe that romantic love is the same as passionate love,” said researcher Bianca Acevedo, PhD, University of California, Santa Barbara.

“It isn’t. Romantic love has the intensity, engagement and sexual chemistry that passionate love has, minus the obsessive component. Passionate or obsessive love includes feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. This kind of love helps drive the shorter relationships, but not the longer ones.”

Another aspect of her studies indicate that while the romantic love generally leads to a happier, more healthy existence with higher self esteem, passionate love relationships that have cooled are not without hope. The felt passion of earlier years may be reclaimed with patience and devotion by those couple desiring to do so with a mutual commitment.

Of major concern, however, are those couples who, although generally happy, have evolved into an almost sterile relationship, devoid of romance and frequently shared warmth. This, admittedly a more difficult circumstance, is not hopeless and can be overcome with an optimistic understanding that things need not be this way and with patience can vastly improve.

We all know that healthy relationships need nurturing, but the life-long effects of a satisfying romantic love are substantial.
